<description>John Mayer - on Songwriting and a Career in Music

Its obvious from the comments from John Mayer - on Songwriting and a career in music that he appreciates the hard work there is in writing a great song. He didn&#039;t say this directly but I got the sense that it wasn&#039;t the speed but the quality of the song.

John is a trained songwriter at Berklee College so not only is he an artist but he has been trained in the art and craft of songwriting. Although the bar for writing a great song is very high, John is proof that it can be reached.

There are many ways to improve a song, often its a number of small changes that can add up to having a huge impact. Writing a great song requires getting a whole series of things right so they all work together. John&#039;s songs demonstrate he knows how to do this.

Thanks for providing the chance to view the video. I never get tired of seeing how each artist turns a blank sheet of paper into something inspirational.
