You remember the Choose Your Own Adventure book series right? Well apparently a narrator suggests different tracks at different points in the album depending on your mood. I initially thought it was too gimmicky but it does give more incentive to get the whole album. He’s just amping up the experience of the album and offering more than just a collection of songs.
The really beauty of this idea is that not only does it make buying the entire album more attractive, it’s a press friendly story. He’s got a lot of ink because of the unique strategy. Publicity and a reason to buy the album is a double win. Smart thinking on his part.
