Podcasting: Easy DIY Promotion

Podcasts are great. Simple to use and available in every genre. I’ve been listening to a lot of National Public Radio, Notes from the Underground, and a little podcast called Podington Bear. I discovered the Podington bear podcast accidentally and it turned out to be music featuring, and produced by the artist Podington Bear.
It’s such a simple idea. Release your music once a week or once a month or whenever you can make it work. It doesn’t have to be hours of music, it can be a short as a single track. Plug your podcast into the iTunes library and embed it on your blog and then watch the listeners roll in. Podcasting can be another great way to spread your music and gain new fans as you share little bits of your life on you own show. NRP should start doing this.
You need a:
- Computer
- Microphone
- Audio Editing software (GarageBand)
