Erykah Badu’s New Buzz Video
You may or may not have heard about Erykah Badu’s new video. The one where she’s doing her thing while progressively getting naked….on the street.
Some of the public is going off, saying it’s too much. Others are giving her a standing ovation. All the while, the people at her label/management are smiling. Why is a divide a good thing?? If something can polarize people, it’s got weight and impact. Just check out the twitter noise. People talking equals buzz and buzz creates awareness.
I personally will get the record as I’m a fan, but I didn’t even know she had a new one coming out until I heard about this video. There will of course be people who just want to see the video and then check out, but I guarantee she will make new fans because of this and her old fans will like her even more.
In an age where distraction is abundant, getting attention is gold.
