Whoa! Check out what frequent NRP contributor Chris De Jong just sent me:
Uh.. Wut? Yeah, so as Mulve says it’s the best way to download music today. I’ve downloaded the program and can back up their claim that it’s crazy easy to use and has a huge supply of songs it’s tapping.
The details of this program can be found on the website (a couple of musicians started it) but as Hypebot so eloquently asked “How long will this last?” This story is just starting to get the blog buzz it deserves so I suggest you download Mulve and see for yourself.
The small minded dinosaurs of the old world will probably work extra hard to shut down this innovative program. But is it that innovative? To me Mulve feels like the first versions of Napster, simple and easy to use. Mulve appears to be following those same Napster-y principles and adding to it 2010’s bandwidth speed.
What will Mulve mean for artists? and how can we best utilize this new tool? Those are all question I hope we find out soon but I don’t know how much longer Mulve.com will last, so get it while its hot kids.
