Awwww snap. About time someone made a solid music player using YouTube. A few have tried over the years, but ever since the big 4 (major labels) joined up, YouTube has become a lot more appealing for an application to use the content of YouTube like this. So get ready for Tubeify.
Tubeify is a mashup of Last.fm, Billboard, and YouTube. The site allows users to search for, discover, play and queue YouTube videos. It reminds me of iTunes for YouTube. The ease of use and intuitiveness of this program will win a lot of people over. Plus it’s fun because of Tubeify’s Time Travel feature.
By teaming up with Billboard, Tubeify has brought in a wealth of data on music charts. By using the Tubeify Time Travel feature users can check out and listen to any of the tracks from the top of the Billboard charts in any year from 1964 on.
I can see a lot of musical lessons being gleaned from a feature like Time Travel. Going back and focusing on a sound, a style, a recording technique, songwriting arrangements, etc, could all be made so much easier with this feature.
If you want a limited time invitation head over to Torrent Freak and grab one while it’s still hot.

Although Tubeify is obviously not the best music listening experience there is, it is one of the only music video Jukeboxes that lets you search for and play millions of tracks instantly. If anything, it beats using the traditional YouTube interface.
Tubeify was kind enough to exclusively share an unlimited amount of invites that will be handed out for as long as the server holds up. You can get your invite here (should arrive in a few minutes), no strings attached. No user account or password is needed either, but Tubeify does require a Facebook or Google account, to allow users to login securely.
