My oh my, what fun UJam is!
Yes yes, I know I’m late to this party. But you really have to try UJam to understand it, and just recently I did try it.
When I first heard about UJAm I was skeptical, if not insulted, that the day had finally come when computers could write songs for anyone. I mean seriously, you need ZERO musical talent. Do you have a voice that a microphone can pickup? Well congrats, because that is all you need.
But that is the most amazing part. With literally any sound you can create, you can create something fun on UJam.
UJAM is a cloud-based platform empowering everyone from novice to skilled musician to easily create and produce real music. UJAM’s proprietary “Song DNA” (p.p.) technology interprets any musical input (from humming to playing an instrument) to create complex compositions, and employs the same technology used in digital audio workstations for studio-quality results.
Long-term, UJAM can be integrated and embedded with other services on any platform and aims to become a go-to-place for all music-lovers for creating and sharing their music. (CrunchBase)
I don’t know how many artists will become sensations using UJam, but it will be interesting to see how musicans use this.
Demo’s, random ideas, style changes, and all musical thoughts can now be captured with UJam and at the very least it will provide people with a passing curiosity the chance to create some music. Check it out UJam here.
