My friends and I are kinda obbsessed with Instagram, the photo sharing application for the iPhone. Instagram allows you to take pictures, apply a filter, and share it.

Artist should be using this app because nearly every picture you take can become a classic image with the right filter. Better photos can only equal more fans. If you have consistent great images of your band it will only help.

Once you’ve taken the photo and applied the filter you can then post it to your Instagram account and various other social networks (Twitter, Fbook, etc). The users of Facebook and Twitter can view the photos but cannot follow you unless they are also on Instagram. The Instagram social network is still relatively small, but it’s growing and there is a potential to develop a close knit fan base, that will allow a different part of your artistry to show.
