It’s hard to believe South By is already weeks old.
Anyways, while at South By we got to hang out with our new friend/reader, Tommaso from Italy. He’s an accomplished producer/engineer (he engineered the last two albums for one of the biggest bands in the world… we won’t mention names) and is in one of Italy’s popular indie bands, Calibro35 (they jam out italian soundtrack style tunes.. pretty sweet). He’s a reader who asked us if it was cool that he transcribed the book into Italian.
Of course we wanted to talk further.
We didn’t know anything about Tomasso except that was he was interested enough in our book to translate it into Italian! It felt like he just had a good vibe when we communicated via e-mail (I know that’s weird, but it’s true). Meeting in person only solidified that impression.
We got to talk a bit deeper about how we could work together and there was even some talk about a visit to Italy. Who knows what will happen? What’s cool about it was that there was no weirdness about meeting. You don’t know this person except through email and when you meet in person, it’s like we haven’t hung out in awhile.
We’re stoked to see what happens and yes, we need to get that revised book out.. It’s coming.

Thanks for introducing me to Calibro 35. I have been listening to them quite steadily since the post and man the music reminds me of that 70’s Patrick Magoon show, The Prisoner.
