If you’ve ever enjoyed Neil Young’s songwriting, then you should probably take 30 minutes and watch this little gem of an interview with the godhead himself.

Neil speaks about creating his monstrous sound for his latest record (Le Noise) with Daniel Lanois in detail. Guitarists should especially take note. Also, it’s interesting to note the relationships that Neil and Daniel have together. They obviously trust each other fully and allowed each others strengths to take hold on the recording, and it shows.

There tons of great quotes in this interview and apparently Neil only did 2 takes for each song on the album. People who take more than a few takes in Neil’s words:

There are truth bombs like that aaaaaallllll over the place. It’s very inspiring to hear these two legends give such a candid look at how they create amazing records, because if you hadn’t heard Le Noise is amazing.
