Born Into This isn’t so much a music documentary as more of a poet documentary. It tells the life of Charles Bukowski, who’s one of my favourite poets. The guy is so real, and speaks to me on such a level that I felt I had to share this doc with you.

Tom Waits, Sean Penn, and of course Bono appear in this stellar look at Henry Charles Bukowski. As a portrait of an artist this documentary really shows us the trials and tribulations it takes to get your work heard. I’ve watched this doc twice on Netflix and I can’t get enough. Luckily there is a free copy floating on YouTube that you can see below. Enjoy.
