The other day I wrote about how to find music blogs that will talk about you. Well finding those blogs is only one step of the process. The other part is actually talking to them. Luckily for you when Hoover and I were on our International Book Tour we stopped in Chicago and had a chat with music bloggers, and Popstache.com founders, Andy and Taylor. We asked them:
- How they find music to blog about
- Best practices to reach out to music bloggers
- After music, what do they look for next
- Their thoughts on the album
Check out the video below for their answers or click here.

Hi guys,
Very interesting video. Even if it’s a pity to only have a 2 minutes interview, it already gives me some good directions & tips to develop my blog.
Actually, I’m managing a modest blog which aim is to spread the tunes I discover & like to my friends…The purpose is not to make some articles about the music. I let this job to good writers. I only wanna share musics but not singles. I’m always trying to ‘browse’ bands that deserves it not because they’ve made one good song but because they’ve propose lots of good stuff.
Initially, I wwanted to target my friends but unfortunately only few of them are following it. BUT now since two month, many “non known” people are following it…which makes me think that what I propose is not that bad. My issue now is to develop something more ‘professional’.
If you have time, I’d love to have some advices from your side concerning this blog.
Once again thanks to share your passion in such good way.
