Cinemagram is probably the most interesting iPhone app that I’ve come across for months. Think Instagram + GIFs = Cinemagram. You record a situation (I’ve noticed the simpler the better), select a few seconds, choose an area to animate, slap on a filter and voila, you have a Cinemagram of your very own.
You may have noticed a surge in popularity of this type of photography. It’s been used in fashion a great deal, and slowly it’s trickled into other worlds, music being one of them. The godheads, Pitchfork, started using the gif style and now it’s a must if your a content creating musician. Cinemagram is also a social network, and although it’s tagging and exploration features leave me wanting more, the app at the very least creates the content that you can then share to Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter.
Download the app here and start creating awesome content before it get saturated and the novelty wears off… which will be in about 3 months! Happy Interneting!
