It’s no secret that I’m a Kanye fan boy. I called his reign on the top of the rap game since I first heard his production skills with Jigga. Those tracks were inspired and I’ve enjoyed Kanye’s flight to the top. I especially love how his only code is to make the best music on earth. Not a small task, but at the very least, trying to produce the best music in the world will be a fun ride.
The Watch Throne Documentary was just released but the video was taken down for some reason. That led me to find the video below of Kanye speaking about his creativity and artistic vision, amongst many other things. It’s encouraging to see that the reason Kanye stays on top is because he cares about the music above all else and the vision for his art. It’s a little long (20 min) but Kanye definitely brings up some interesting thoughts, check it out.

Nice!!!!!
Thanks for sharing. I never did get the truth about why Kanye went on stage and disrupted Taylor Swift’s speech. Even though I believe it wasn’t the right time to voice his opinions, I do respect them. I believe that Beyonce had an awesome video, one of the most iconic of this new century, and I’m not even into R&B all that much. White folks as well as black folks at work all saw the video and found it amazing. One guy even got facts about the male dancer in the video, posing as a woman, and he’s got an Australian Greek background.
As for Taylor Swift? No one remembers her songs. It must be an age group thing. The younger fans are probably more vocal. So it definitely was a surprise when Beyonce didn’t win.
But the good thing was that Beyonce was a very honourable loser. She didn’t flinch. And they’re only awards. Her success in the music industry is proof already, and the indelible memory of the Single Ladies video will not be forgotten in a hurry. That’s something an award can’t create.
